Common jobs chosen by MSCAPP graduates include roles as data scientists, policy researchers, and data engineers; alumni have also gone on to become application developers, data visualization specialists, data team leaders, computational social scientists, technical project managers, chiefs of staff, and more.

The Career Development Office at the Harris School of Public Policy supports MSCAPP students and alumni, both throughout their time in the program and beyond graduation.

PhD Pathways

MSCAPP alumni interested in careers in academia and research have gone on to pursue PhD degrees in a wide range of fields, including public policy, computer science, economics, business, government, political science, statistics, and more. Academic advisors are well-informed and can provide support in identifying research opportunities, selecting courses, securing letters of recommendation, and refining materials for PhD applications.
